Just now getting used to being on my own. I have been out in Los Cruces, New Mexico for almost two weeks now and mostly I have been eating fast food three meals a day. My roommates back in college had all of the stuff that you need to make yourself a meal and I came out here in a hurry. My new boss told me that the job was only going to be available for a few days. I had to rush here. Today I finally bought a bunch of stuff on the internet from a site called kitchen magic. It is a whisk I bought because I thought it looked cool. I bought a set of teflon frying pans and some saucepans, a couple of spatulas, a thing of silverware and some glasses.
For now I am using paper plates and plastic cups like you use at keg parties. I was going to use plastic forks, but I really do not like those. When you try to stick your food with a plastic fork it will break half the time. I used that magic twisty whisk for the first time this morning. I made some bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. It was then that I realized that I had forgotten to get pepper and I can not stand to eat eggs without pepper. I did not have any catsup either and I really like to cover my scrambled eggs in catsup. For awhile I sat there staring at my breakfast and thinking about going down to the corner market. I had to go to work instead. So right now I am putting together a list of all the stuff I did not remember to buy. I forgot about laundry detergent for one thing. My place has a washer and dryer and all of my clothes need to be washed, but I had no detergent.
